It was an arduous move into our new temporary premises at the original facility for a Shed within the PCYC precinct. We still haven’t quite located all the tools and equipment in the big shed, but then we have 12 months to fine tune it.
Our President Steve is advertising frequently in the local media that we are open for business and the community can still assist us with the drop-off of their containers for change.
Our master artist, Ray, has donated one of his masterpieces for a raffle to be drawn before Easter. Tickets ($5 for 3 or 1 for $2) can be purchased at the Shed or keep your eye out for a stand to be run at the Forest Lake Shopping Centre in the coming weeks. It all helps to raise funds for a new shed in the future.
We have already welcomed two new members since we moved to the temporary location in Swallow Street Inala behind the PCYC so if you are interested in joining then come down and see us or contact Steve on 0421520804 or Peter on 0404829518 for information. The Shed operates Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 12pm.
