Centenary Evening VIEW Club Update
Coffee and Chat get together, Book Club as well as an evening at the Centenary Theatre Group’s presentation of “Cosi” are planned for the coming weeks.
Dinner meetings also include presentations from guest speakers.
At our July meeting, we enjoyed an informative discussion from a specialist audiologist and researcher regarding hearing loss and links to dementia.
Last month, as we move into Spring and the wattle season, we welcomed the president of the Queensland Wattle Association.
There is a bit of a buzz within our local VIEW Club communities as the countdown is on for the National Convention to be held in Brisbane in September.
The Convention brings members from across the nation together to celebrate the achievements of VIEW and look towards the future of our continued support of disadvantaged students.
We would love to welcome new members to our group.
Monthly dinner meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at the Centenary Tavern.
Registration is from 6.30pm with the meeting commencing at 7pm sharp.
The cost of attending the meeting ($35) covers the cost of your meal, one drink, the cost of the guest speaker’s meal plus a small donation to The Smith Family.
