The Shed continues to provide repairs to bric-a-brac dropped off by community members, for a small donation, which helps with the running costs of machinery and supplies.
Our members continue to enjoy playing cards on Tuesdays and painting art treasures on Mondays and Thursdays.
Woodwork is the mainstay of our activities with the production of wildlife boxes, garden benches and special requests from schools, community groups and business houses.
There is the opportunity to sponsor the Shed with a donation to assist in fundraising to prepare for the construction of new facilities once a location is found.
Contact the president if you wish to do so.
We continue to search for a location for our Shed once our lease expires with Arethusa in January 2026.
While our best option has been inclusion in the Parks and Recreation project in Woogaroo street, council definitions of what a Shed is has proved to be a stumbling block.
It would be a shame to see the local entity fold and many of our members left wanting. Hope still prevails and we will still keep trying.
Men of all ages are invited to visit our Shed to enjoy our company and participate in activities.
Annual membership fees are moderate and afford you the use of Shed facilities and equipment.
It’s a great place to beat loneliness and learn some new skills, so important to maintaining good physical and mental health.
Contact 0421 520 804 or visit our site at 25 High Street Forest Lake if interested.
